Where It Started

I'm Francesco, founder of this project and president of A.S.D. FRENZI. This is the story of how a sunrise run became a club.

Towards the end of 2024 I was trying to hold together study, work and training. I moved a lot, ran now and then, trained when I could — almost always alone. Discipline was never the problem. What started to be missing was everything else: people to share the journey with, a reason to go out beyond the workout itself.

After finishing my master's and settling into my first job, I finally had more time for myself. In the sunny March of 2025 I started training properly, to feel better — and Strava knows it well…

At some point I realised I didn't need to train more. I needed a place where I felt good, could improve, and could meet people who wanted the same.

On 13 August 2025 I posted an Instagram story and a dozen friends showed up to run at dawn in Castellammare del Golfo. There was no grand plan. We ran, had breakfast, jumped in the sea and spent time together. Then we did it again. And every time someone new joined.

Running at dawn during the first Frenzi meetup

By the end of September we had arrived in Palermo, with an evening run inside the UniPa campus. From there Frenzi really began to take shape, meet-up after meet-up, person after person.

Today it is far bigger than that first run, but the idea hasn't changed: to build a place where you move, feel good, and don't have to do it alone — giving anyone who wants it the chance to improve, properly guided, in a sport they thought was out of reach a year ago.

See you at the next event.

A Living Community

At some point we realised Frenzi had started walking on its own legs.

More than once the calendar simply carried on without the person who had started the whole thing.

It was a small moment, but it said a lot. Frenzi no longer depended on one person — the problem that stops so many projects like this from ever becoming independent.

Today it lives in the people who wait for each other before setting off, in the newcomers who after a while welcome the ones who come next, in the pace each person finds inside the group, and in that «1, 2, 3… FRENZI!» that by now needs no explaining.

What we were looking for was exactly this: a community that keeps living because people choose to be there.

A community able to sustain something built to stay and grow, rather than to follow a global trend.

The Mission

Frenzi was born to change the way we approach everyday life, caught up in a rush of commitments that leaves no room for clear thinking.

The name comes from the English word Frenzy, which, with a little touch of the Dolce Vita of our Italy, the Bel Paese, becomes «Frenzi».

We want more and more people to join a community that is well guided and well run, where you can improve the way you live thanks to a place that makes it sustainable.

We promote sport and healthy events across our territory, to give it value through the presence of our members and of a community that keeps growing and wants to invest in the place where it lives.

Three Non-Negotiable Values

01

Keep your word

Only realistic promises, then delivered. No miracles, no shortcuts.

02

Believe in people's potential

All people, any age, any starting point. Your pace is the right pace.

03

Respect freedom

Zero pressure, zero guilt, a safe space where everyone feels free to be themselves.

The Team

The people of Frenzi

Who keeps the club going, who leads courses and workshops, who lends a hand at our meetups.

Coaches

They run Frenzi's courses.

The best way to understand Frenzi is to live it. Start where you are.
